About the Florence Post 1
Florence vs. New Jersey pregame intros, Aug. 2012

The Florence Post 1 American Legion baseball program began in 1932, and is now one of the longest tenured teams in the southeast.  In that time, Florence has won 46 league titles, 8 state championsips, 3 southeast regional championships and 2 regional runner-ups.  In 2012, Post 1 advanced to the American Legion World Series, finishing 5th in the country.  Post 1 made a return trip to the World Series in 2023 after sweeping through the state and regional tournaments and finishing 5th in the country once again.

Florence plays its home games at historic Legion Field, built in 1969.  It also serves as one of the host sites for the largest American Legion summer tournament in the southeast, the Palmetto Legion Invitational.  Legion Field is currently undergoing some revitalization projects that will enhance the facility even more.
